The first large project produced here this year with the new color setup is for photographer Rebecca Sullivan. Rebecca makes large format captures then works her unique color and tonal palette into the imagery in an evocative manner still firmly grounded in reality. The imagery is big wide open spaces generally including human elements in graphically interesting ways.

The scale of the compositions really come alive in large print sizes, five of which were done at 50″ x 38″, the remaining at 40″ x 30″. The work was printed on Epson Hot Press Natural, a beautiful new paper that presents deep rich color. Her particular palette was well served by the large color space of the new printer and software, particularly the addition of orange and green inks. This work is a great example of the current state of the art in digital photography from capture to fine print, combined seamlessly with a unique personal artistic vision.
The work will be showing at Point32’s Art Stable from 4/2/11 through 5/2/11. The opening reception is 4/2/11, 5 – 7:30 pm. Click here for more information.
