Jennifer Stanton will have 6 pieces in “Place” at the Seattle Art Museum Gallery including Mel Curtis and John Armstrong. Three evocative images of Acacia trees in the African evening, and three large images of rice paddies making visually appealing use of selective focus. All were printed with a soft split tone ink setup, warm highlights transitioning to cooler selenium hued shadows, all on Canson papers.
The large 45″ by 30″ paddy images are from digital captures using an unusual lens, and printed on Edition Etching. The three Acacia tree 30″ x 30″ prints are drum scanned 120mm film, and printed on Rag Photographique.
Place, Photography by Three Northwest Artists runs from June 10th through July 11th at the Seattle Art Museum Gallery.
Opening reception for the artists June 11th, 6PM to 7:30PM
